At era, we were immediately drawn to Cami
NYC. “With a focus on versatility, Cami
NYC’s goal was to create pieces for every occasion at any hour of the day, or
night.” This is completely in line with our vision for era style loft. Then we heard the back story of the designer
and evolution of Cami NYC and loved the line even more.
The designer, Samantha Steen, originally
from Canada, was working in NYC at Womens Wear Daily magazine. Working in NYC, there is little time for
going home from work and changing for evening events. She was on the search for the perfect
day-to-night cami. Coming up with
nothing, she made her own. Everyone she
worked with loved it and wanted one for themselves. She had definitely found a void in the market. Working at Womens Wear Daily magazine, she
was able to get the cami’s to celeb fans Hilary Duff, Cameron Diaz, Shakira,
Rose Byrne, Sophia Bush, and Jamie King.
We love Cami NYC’s focus on
versatility. That is something that we
truly believe in at era.
“The idea is that you
can wear your Cami in a variety of ways. Tuck it into a great pencil skirt with
a blazer for work and easily transform your outfit into an after-work look with
just a pair of jeans and some heels. Or, for a cocktail party, throw your Cami
on with a long, flowing skirt, add some fabulous accessories and you’re
elegantly set. The Cami becomes your ultimate wardrobe staple.”

Our morning routine always starts with a fresh
cup of coffee - for us, it is typically black. After reading an article on
Lauren Conrad posted on My Domaine, we decided to try her go-to coffee recipe.
After the first sip, we were hooked! It is full of flavor yet health-conscious
and has made our mornings a little more decadent. See the recipe below.
- dark roast coffee
- almond milk - we recommend the almond milk from Thrive Juice Co.
- agave (or honey)
- Brew dark roast coffee, pour into mug
- Add a splash of almond milk
- Add agave to taste
- Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon to garnish
