Its been a month since having my beautiful baby girl, India. After weeks of sleepless nights, days of cuddles & slumming it in my pj’s I’m finally ready to enter the world again…unfortunately my lack of anything to wear was sadly shocking.
Finally out of pregnancy clothes but not quite ready to face the reality of my pre-pregnancy clothes I was in desperate need of some key transition items. Not to mention my wardrobe was definitely lacking appropriate ‘mom’ clothes or basically anything causal for hanging with my new main gal. I also added some casual basics to my wardrobe to make my life a little bit more comfortable to embrace the transition from Era life to home life.
My must have post pregnancy items:
Elizabeth and James Coat – Luckily its moving into cooler weather and our Canadian winter uniform is about to take full effect. Invest in a great new coat and you will look fab….regardless of what’s going down underneath!
Equipment chunky knit – Another fall must have and post pregnancy god send…perfect for hiding unsightly lumps still lingering.
Joie lace top – I absolutely love this top for great coverage but still has a sexy twist with the lace detail and leather trim. What’s not sexy but I love – I can wear my breast feeding tank under which makes it totally practical as well!
Joie je suis moody sweater with contour360 denim – Enough said. A must have for any non-pregnancy, pregnancy or post pregnant lady. Paired with the contour360 denim – I was shocked to finally put these babies on and feel the sudden suction to my legs…instantly they looked slimmer!
Marc by Marc Jacobs dress – Not exactly a conventional choice for a new mother but I just had to have this amazing dress. The shift style is perfect as it hangs perfectly hiding any post pregnancy ‘flaws’ that are still lurking. Perfect for days at the store, dinner out, or brunch with the girls.
Current/Elliott Sweatpants – An obvious comfortable choice for a new mama…please please if you are going to wear sweatpants out of the house invest in some cool new ones and leave the oversized huskies at home!
Anine Bing studded boots – Apparently mom’s should wear flats…so I bought the most practical style I could possibly think of ;)
My must have basics every home body mom should own:
1) Joie Coraline Camisole
2) Joie Kidmore Sneakers in Leopard
3) Current/Elliott V-neck Tee
4) South Parade Dear New York Sweatshirt
5) Ag Jeans Contour 360 Leggings
6) Joie Madilyn Sweater
